Editorial Policy

ETHOS SECURE is an editorial publication about travel security and digital privacy, published by ETHOS GLOBAL DO BRASIL LTDA in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. This policy explains how our coverage is produced and how commercial relationships are kept separate from editorial judgement.

How we select products and services

Coverage begins with the traveller's situation, not with a catalogue. For each category we define the practical problem — securing a connection on shared Wi-Fi, checking a hotel room for privacy, protecting a bag in transit, keeping a child reachable in a crowded place — and then consider solutions that address it in a compact, travel-friendly and lawful way. We prefer products that are genuinely obtainable from a reputable manufacturer or merchant, that state their specifications openly, and that are simple enough to operate under travel conditions.

Sources we use

Descriptions are built from official manufacturer and provider documentation: specification sheets, product manuals, support pages and published terms, supported by widely accepted security practice. Where an important detail cannot be verified from a reliable source, we leave it out rather than estimate it. We do not claim laboratory testing, certifications, client engagements or testimonials, and we do not present performance guarantees that a manufacturer does not substantiate.

Selection happens before any commercial relationship is considered, and a commission never determines whether a product is covered or how favourably it is described. We do not sell placements, rankings, badges or favourable coverage. Payment cannot buy inclusion, position or wording on this website, and we do not publish sponsored material disguised as editorial content.

Accuracy, updates and corrections

Prices, availability, shipping terms and product specifications change frequently, so pages are reviewed periodically and details are re-checked against current official sources. Where a claim is found to be inaccurate or outdated, we correct the page directly rather than leave it standing. If you believe something here is wrong, write to us and we will review it.
